Worker/Volunteer Rules and Standards

Worker Rules and Standards

*Dress code:  Each event suggests a dress code.  Please try to ensure that you have this dress code BEFORE you confirm to work an event.  The larger venues in town have suggested dress codes and may turn you away if you are not in that attire.

*Be on time:  Know your check-in time and be on time.  Allow time for traffic, parking backups, and any shuttle bus travel to reach your check-in point.  If you are going to be late, notify your contact person ASAP.

*Confirmations are required to work an event.  If you do not have a confirmation then you are not scheduled to work and may be turned away at the event.  If you are expecting a confirmation and did not receive one; please text to inquire.  If you do not receive one then you are NOT on the schedule and may be turned away at the event if you show up.

*Tips must be shared with all workers at the same stand or booth.  There is NO exceptions to this rule.   Anyone who does not share tips with their co-workers at the same stand or booth will be asked to leave.  We consider this stealing and no one is exempt from this rule.

*Cancellations/No Show/No Call - If you are confirmed to work an event and cancel less than 48 hours prior to event you may be subject to a fee.  In order to maintain clients and the work that many are dependent upon it is essential that each person keep their commitment.  Cancellations less than 48 hours prior to event MUST come with an explanation.  If you no show/no call for an event, you will be subject to a cancellation fee of a minimum of $40 but will range up for certain venues.  If you get a substitute for yourself, they must have equivalent certifications/qualifications and that person must be approved by management.  You will be subject to the minimum fee of $40 if we have to find a sub for you.

*You are to be the only person on your POS or ipad system.  You are the person responsible for the money in the til and allowing others to get on your POS/ipad system can cause a shortage that you would then be responsible for.  It is your responsibility to ensure that no one else gets on your POS/ipad system.  Report anyone that attempts to do this to management.

*Report screens on POS/ipad systems.  This is not an area that anyone but management is allowed to access.  Management can look to see if this area has been accessed and there will be consequences for accessing this area.  You have no need to be in this screen.  You must contact management to do any refunds or over rings on your system.

Bartenders - Over pouring.  Promoters order liquor in specific quantities.  Overpouring will cause an event to run out of alcohol and a promoters knows they exact number of drinks that each bottle will equate to.  Overpouring COSTS the promoter more money as well as causing the event negative feedback when all the products is not avaialble for the duration of the event.  Overpouring is not acceptable to BUMP up your tip amount.  Consequences will occur for this.  Use your jiggers and watch your pour counts when bartending to ensure a good event for all.

*You must be present for the entire event; this includes clean up.  Anyone leaving before an event without prior approval may have their hourly wage reduced and will NOT be part of the tip out.  We will NOT stop an event to do your cash tip out and you will be excluded from the credit card tip out.
